Shasta Regional Medical Center’s Wound Care Center is an out-patient program designed to provide specialized services for your patient in conjunction with your primary care.
The center is physician run and specializes in treatment of wounds that require advanced care. Our holistic program of treatment and prevention heals chronic wounds, saves limbs and improves the overall health and well-being of our patients.

Our Wound Care team uses a multi-disciplinary approach to optimize treatment programs to heal even the most difficult wounds such as:
- Diabetic wounds
- Venous stasis ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Chronic wounds resulting from:
- Poor circulation
- Radiation tissue damage
- Bone infection
- Arterial

Referrals
The Shasta Regional Medical Center Wound Center strives to work closely with your doctor, giving routine updates on your status. Patient progress is documented frequently and serial digital photographs are taken to track the healing process. To arrange for an evaluation, please call us at 530-229-2954. If treatment is indicated, we will assist with the securing of insurance approval.
In addition, we coordinate referrals to specialists in vascular, plastic and general surgery, orthopedics, dermatology and endocrinology and will arrange for evaluation by specialists in physical therapy, diabetic education, nutrition and social work to ensure a complete approach to healing.
