Shasta Regional Medical Center now accepting Anthem Blue Cross

Redding, CA, December 26, 2022 – Shasta Regional Medical Center is proud to be back in the network as a coverage provider, Anthem Blue Cross Commercial, Exchange and of course Medicare Advantage products. This is an exciting development because members will no longer have to travel long distances for needed procedures, now having access those procedures locally, beginning  January 1, 2023.

Providing compassionate, high-quality care in conjunction with Anthem Blue Cross is a priority for both organizations but is especially beneficial to our community. Anthem Blue Cross is one of the nation’s largest health insurance carriers with approximately 80 percent of the north state community with private insurance using Anthem Blue Cross as their insurance company.

Shasta Regional Medical Center’s leadership has worked diligently to reach an agreement that best serves our community giving patients the choice of receiving care covered by Blue Cross having access to some of the only services available in the North State such as the TAVR procedure and CardioMEMES, and coming in January 2023, the Watchman heart procedure.

Shasta Regional Medical Center holds the highest grade in our community for patient safety from LeapFrog Group as well as awards from the American Heart Association’s Get with the Guidelines GoldPlus Award for commitment to prioritizing quality care for stroke and heart failure patients.

“Patients should have covered care at their hospital of choice. Patient safety and quality healthcare access is our top priority and we will continue to expand our medical services and procedures throughout 2023. We are excited to welcome back our Blue Cross patients”, stated Casey Fatch, CEO, Shasta Regional Medical Center.
